Recruitments Cost Options
Silent Partner Consulting offers a number of recruitment options, enabling customers to access
the most appropriate and cost effective method to suit their individual needs.
Full recruitment service – Professional Positions
Our normal process is to complete the entire recruitment project on behalf of the client
organisation. Usually two or three candidates that match the brief requirements are provided to
the client organisation, who make the final selection.
The normal process involves the following steps
- Development of a skill, experience and personal qualities profile for the ideal candidate.
- Review of salary survey information
- Silent Partner Consulting file search
- Internet advertising via the Seek and / or My Career site
- Seek web site data base search
- Advertising through other media as required by the client organisation (Optional)
- Acknowledgment of all applications
- Telephone search for suitable applicants through client / candidate networks
- “Head hunt” activities with targeted companies likely to employ a person of suitable experience / industry exposure.
- Direct approaches to suitable / experienced candidates via the Linked In web site.
- Assessment of applications
- Skill, IQ and/or aptitude testing of short listed candidates (Optional)
- Interviews of short listed candidates that meet the criteria (maximum of 8 in the first round)
- If no suitable candidates are identified, readvertise on the Internet or print media advertising or direct search. (Discussed and authorised by the client.)
- Repeat steps 5-10 if necessary.
- Write and send “recommended candidate” reports to the client.
- Arrange for client interviews of recommended candidates (including in our meeting rooms if required).
- History check preferred candidate/s.
- Assist with job offer and employment contract. (Optional)
- Advise unsuccessful candidates.
Associated charges (Full recruitment service)
Our normal cost approach is to base fees on our work time dedicated to the project (in 5 minute
blocks) for all work carried out, at $XXX per hour, to a maximum of XX% of starting
annualpackage (not including superannuation and/or tool of trade vehicles) or year one OTE
(whereincentives are included).
Advertising and travel costs are additional, plus any optional extras requested by the client.
Because we do not charge for the placement, but ask each client to pay for the work carried
out on their behalf, we can keep our cost down to almost half of what is routinely charged by
our competitors.
Other options
Alternatively for clients who are used to and like the standard approach, we will work on a placement fee basis for exclusive briefs if it is requested at the commencement of our work.
Accordingly, our charges would be for advertising and/or travel, plus 15% of starting annual package / OTE. Only advertising, expenses and optional extras are payable if no placement is made.
All “full fee” placements come with a 3 months replacement guarantee (i.e. only advertising / expenses are charged), validated by paying the original account within our trading terms.
Invoicing
Advertising and expenses are invoiced, when the costs are incurred.
Our time costs or the placement fee is charged on a single invoice at the completion of the project. An itemised time sheet is also provided to substantiate the charges for time costs. Our terms are strictly 14 days from date of invoice.
Timing
The average recruitment assignment is completed in four to six weeks, however recruitment is a lot of science and some luck in identifying the right candidate at the right time (when they are ready to move), so the average is just that. We have been successful in less than one week, and have participated in long assignments. Regardless, we work diligently to achieve a speedy result from day one, and will keep you informed of developments as they occur.
